Transformation & Strategic Delivery Intern

(April 2020 - August 2020)
I worked on front-end, back-end development with Software Engineers, implemented enhancements using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and C sharp to improve overall functionality and fix errors of a project. I co-created and documented a dashboard in Microsoft Power BI built based on the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) from Atlassian Jira Software. I researched about Microsoft PowerApps and documented its use cases in the company. I also worked with Quality Assurance team to create test cases and report bugs in Zephyr. I was involved in planning of Women In Workplace society and designing its logos along with fellow interns.

Peer Tutor

As a Peer Tutor, my role is to help first and second year students for courses such as, Calculus I and II, Introduction to Programming (C++), Differential Equations for Engineers, Electrical Engineering Fundamentals, Circuit Analysis and Introductory Electronics. Student problems are resolved during study sessions by teaching concepts in an easier and effective way ensuring student satisfaction. Time management and organization skills plays a significant role to manage the university courses along with five hours a week of study sessions.​

As part of ENGSOC, I help the academic council to plan workshops that can help engineering students to advance their skills and connect with industry professionals. Team work and collaboration is crucial to this role as I communicate with the executives ensuring best interests of the students.

Junior Controls Engineer Co-op

I worked with a team of experienced Control Engineers to build Motor Control panels for customers such as Purolator and General Motors. Through panels, I gained the theoretical as well as practical knowledge about various electronic devices and their connections through AutoCAD Electrical. I was also involved in commissioning and standby support at the Amazon Brampton YHM 5 site (Amazon's first automated sortation system in North America) along with Sr. Controls Engineer and engineers from Material Handling Systems (MHS). I gained technical knowledge of the system through troubleshooting in the PLC program. Through this experience, I was able to explore the realm of the automated packaging industry.
